Biography
Soprano Eline Vandenheede has appeared on the concert platform across Europe and is a graduate of the Guildhall Opera School, where she studied with Susan Waters. She is employed both in the performing arts and education sectors and is excited to teach future musicians.
Eline is experienced in working with SEND. Students of all ages from the age of five, experience levels, and musical abilities are welcome! Whether you are looking for a new hobby or want to prepare for auditions, ABRSM / Trinity exams, or professional performances, Eline’s courses in singing, piano and music theory provide lessons tailored to your or your child's goals.
Eline won the 2018 Franz-Schubert-Institut Lieder Prize incorporating the Vera Rózsa-Nordell Award and obtained a Virtuoso Award in the 2020 Vienna International Music Competition. She has taken part in various masterclasses with artists such as Gerald Finley, Elly Ameling, Robert Holl, Ann Murray, Peter Konwitschny, Roger Vignoles, Amanda Roocroft, Yvonne Kenny, Sir John Tomlinson and Helmut Deutsch.
Highlights in previous and forthcoming engagements are at the Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, LSO St. Luke’s, St. John’s Smith Square, ROH covering Amore and Melantho (The Return of Ulysses) and the role of the first moon woman (A Trip to the Moon) with Sir Simon Rattle and the London Symphony Orchestra. More recent collaborations are with Opera Prelude, the Library Conservatory Antwerp and the Guildhall Composer’s Studio. Eline is a member of the Philharmonia Chorus’s professional scheme and the extra chorus at the Royal Opera House and the English National Opera.
